Big Destinations

Well we managed to gather the will power to pull ourselves away from our amazing hosts, and California burittos, and left San Diego Friday afternoon. We drove the rest of the day on Friday and landed ourselves in Sequoia National Forest around 10:30 pm. There, after a long hot day of driving and steep winding roads, we went immediately to bed.

Saturday morning we set off for Sequoia National Park, but didnt manage to make it all the way due to some van trouble. So we settled into a Walmart in Portersville and spent some time in Starbucks. That evening we watched a movie from redbox and tried to sleep in the nasty humidity.

This morning (Sunday), we sucessfully drove to Sequoia N.P. and drove up some more winding mountain roads, not the vans favorite right now, and made it to the big trees! We ventured around some of 2000 year old giants and visited the giant forest musuem. It was awesome!

Now we are back on the road making our way north west towards the Northern California coastline. If all goes well we will make most of the 11 hour trip before bed. As for tomorrow: Redwood N.P.!
