San Diego-ins

We made it to San Diego after 530 miles on Sunday night and we have spent 4 awesome days with Gershom and Lara! The first day we went down to MB, Mission Beach, where we "people watched", took a walk on the beach, dunked our feet in the Pacific Ocean. We ate lunch at a little hole in the wall place that sold a little bit of everything. Then that night we walked to Roberto's where we were introduced to a lovely friend of Lara and Gershom's called "the California burrito." Steak and french fries with quacamole wrapped in a homemade, (right next to mexico), tortilla..Delicious!

The next day we went down to OB, Ocean Beach, where we hung out on the beach, went swimming and then sun bathed some more. Afterwards we went to a famous burger place called Ho-dads, to give you an idea of the popularity of this place their was a line going outside of the restaurant to get in. Then we all came home just in time to catch Lara getting home from work. Then yesterday Lara managed to get a half day of work and we scheduled a kayak cave tour for the afternoon. The tour took us around La Jolla beach and its caves, we had a blast!







Saw some sea-lions and moon jelly fish. Once we finished the tour we headed home, grabbing In and Out burgers, from the secret menu. Only those who eat In and Out know what the secret menu is. We all got something animal style whether it was our burger or french fries, either way the animal style burger was pretty good. Not as good as the burritos though!


We just returned from our Hike to Blacks Beach through the famous Torrey Pines State Reserve, where we had an awesome time walking the beach trying to catch guitar fish and taking pictures of everything. Lots of cool stuff, check out the pics. We are on our tentative last night here with Lara and Gershom eating more California burritos for dinner and watching one last horror movie to bed here in San Diego!
